This was the second in a series of “History Alive” presentations at The historic COBACH building
Livingston Players member Christina Miller tells the story of former first lady in the one-woman show “An Evening With Mary Todd Lincoln.” The show is the latest installment in the Livingston Players’ History Alive! series at the City of Brighton Arts, Culture and History Center, 202 W. Main St. in Brighton.
The one-hour, family-friendly production is presented in a conversational format and comes in two acts with a short intermission. The first act follows Mary Todd Lincoln from her childhood days to the days just before the second-term presidential election of her husband, Abraham Lincoln. The second act takes the audience through the period of her life after her husband’s assassination, into her commitment to an insane asylum by her son, and through the final years of her life.
