Membership in the The Livingston
Players, Inc is open to anyone who is interested in
community theater. You do not need to be a performer to participate - stage
crew, stage managers, directors, writers, light and sound specialists, stage
design, stage building, producer - all are parts you can learn or lend your
experience.
Membership costs are based on your level of support - starting with the basic
membership for an individual of $25. Family memberships are $60. In many
community groups, you are responsible for paying for your own costumes - an
added hidden cost. Unlike those other groups, costumes and expenses related to
the productions are paid for by the The
Livingston Players, Inc - not an additional cost
to you. However, costumes, props, etc. are always accepted as donations.
For those who wish to support the group at higher donation levels, there are
options available for individuals and companies. We have 501 (c) 3
status. In other words, we are a public charity and can accept tax
deductible gifts, bequests, devises, transfers and the giver gets the tax
deduction. Contact our Treasurer for more
information at Treasurer@LivPlayers.org.
All members receive: newsletters, early audition notices, advance play
production information, and other benefits at the various donation levels.
The Board of Directors, play choice committee, producers, as well as the
production staff are all positions held by and open to members. Our fiscal,
production and membership year runs from September to August. For more
information, contact our membership chairperson at information@LivPlayers.org.
